PRETTY PEARLS FOR A PRETTY GIRL

To make up my card I used DP offcuts from the scrap bin, as well as paper roses, pearls from BLUEBERRY BEAR, stick on sentiment and hearts, satin ribbon and bow and a scrap of pretty lace.   The cardstock base card is white, as are all the card mats.

FELT FLOWERS ON A RECIPE BOOK TAG

To showcase how to use the felt flowers I made a Recipe Book Marker Tag using the Bugaboo image called Kitchen Ginger - Bowl which I coloured using alcohol markers.

The embellishments I used are 3 fabulous red felt flowers from BLUEBERRY BEAR.

A hole was punched in the top and a large industrial brad and ribbon added.

These are the felt flowers that I used:

PEARL TOPPED BRADS ... an elegant touch

.... even for a man.

Here is a really masculine card (for a religious man) showing that pearl topped brads can be used for a man:

On the outside of the card I used two digistamps from Digistamps  Joy, called Floral Cross and Freesian Booklet and created a frame around them.

I used a white CS base card, and blue DP of which I inked the edges for a little more definition.

The card opens up to reveal the two Bible texts

and the third fold lifts up to reveal the message:

As the base card was 240gsm thick and there were three layers plus the DP, I needed to find a way to keep the card closed.  A little band of white CS and an off cut of the DP embellished with three pearl top brads from BLUEBERRY BEAR hold it closed nicely now.

Here are the brads that I think give a touch of class to an otherwise rather ordinary card front:

A LITTLE VINTAGE VALENTINE CARD

I decided to make a Valentine's Day card to show you how the beautiful flatbacked pearl hearts can be used.

My starting point was a recently purchased sheet of 12 x 12 DP and  I used the centre image in the top row.

After I cut out the image, I inked the edges to give them some definition, and mounted it onto kraft card that also had the edges inked.  I coloured the image a little with my alcohol markers to increase the intensity:

For the rest of the card, I used :

off-white CS card base
blue card mat
offcut of striped brown DP
sky blue organza ribbon and bow
and
the following BLUEBERRY BEAR products:

three small pearl flatbacked hearts

three paper flowers, layered, with a large flatback pearl centre

BLUEBERRY BEAR LOVES WASHI TAPE

Washi tape is hugely popular, and today BLUEBERRY BEAR has a Valentine's Daycard to share, and washi tape has been used:

The circular image is a digistamp from Bugaboo Stamps, called Jack and Diane - Love Circle and the card was made according to the sketch at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

The red hearts washi tape, and the red with white polka dots washi tape is from BLUEBERRY BEAR.

The colours currently available in the range:

gold with white polka dots
white with gold hearts
red with white polka dots
(unfortunately the white with red polka dots is sold out :(...  )

FLOWERS AND PEARLS - LOVE THEM!

Today's inspiration from BLUEBERRY BEAR comes in the form of a 'lovely' card I made for THE OUTLAWZ Tuesday Challenge:

The challenge was to use pink, light tan and white together on a card...
and these are the BLUEBERRY BEAR products that I used:
